At Mantis Browser (“we”, “us”) we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use Mantis Browser, the mantisbrowser.com website and your account, why we use it and what rights you have. Our principle is simple: collect only what is needed for your account and subscription to work.
1. What we do NOT collect
Your browser profiles are stored only on your computer. We do not receive or store your browsing history, cookies, saved passwords, the content of pages you visit, your proxy details or your profiles' fingerprint settings. We also never receive your card details or your crypto wallet keys.
2. Data we process
Account
- Email address and the date you confirmed it.
- Password, stored only as a salted hash, never in readable form.
- Plan, subscription dates, account status and preferred language.
Devices and connections
- An anonymous identifier for each device, derived from a Windows value through a one-way function, to count the devices your plan allows.
- IP address, date and result of each connection to our server, app version and operating system version.
Payments
- Plan purchased, amount, currency, order status and the identifiers returned by the payment gateway. For crypto payments, the payment address generated for the order and the network used.
Support
- Messages you send us and any information you choose to include.
Website
- The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may process technical data (such as IP address) to serve pages and protect them from attacks.
3. How we use the data
- Providing the Service: creating and maintaining your account, verifying your email, issuing your license and enforcing your plan limits.
- Payments: activating or renewing your subscription and resolving billing issues.
- Security: preventing unauthorized access, account sharing, fraud and free-plan abuse.
- Communications: sending verification codes and notices about your account, payments or important Service changes. We will not send you marketing without your consent.
- Legal obligations: meeting accounting and tax requirements or requests from authorities.
We process your data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (the Terms of Service), for our legitimate interest in protecting the Service from fraud and, where applicable, to comply with legal obligations.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We only share it, as needed, with providers that help us run the Service:
- Server and website hosting (for example, Cloudflare).
- Email delivery (Resend), which receives your email address to send codes and notices.
- Payment gateways (NOWPayments), which process payment data under their own privacy policies.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights or those of others.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country. In that case we require appropriate safeguards.
5. How long we keep data
- Account data: for as long as your account exists.
- Connection history: up to 50 connections per device and 7 days.
- Verification codes: expire after 15 minutes.
- Payment records: for as long as accounting and tax laws require.
- To prevent abuse, we may keep, in limited form, the anonymous identifier of devices that already used an offer or were blocked for violations, even after the account is deleted.
6. Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, digitally signed licenses and restricted access to data. No system is infallible, but if a breach affecting your data occurred we would notify you as required by law.
7. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. These rights are recognized, among others, by Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 (habeas data) and, if you live in the European Union, by the General Data Protection Regulation. Email us at [email protected] from your account email and we will reply within the legal deadlines. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with its date and, if the changes are material, notify you by email or in the app.
